  • What checks do you perform?

We perform a variety of checks including employment screening, education and qualification checks, credit checks, driver, criminal conviction checks and many more. We are able to advise on which checks would be most appropriate for your organisation. Please see our full list of services.

  • We currently perform reference checks in-house through our HR department. Why would we need to use your services?

We are experts in obtaining references. Our experienced team is able to undertake this work on your behalf, requesting references, and swiftly following up the request to ensure it is returned in a timely fashion. This offers a huge time saving benefit to your busy HR department who can then devote their time to other business issues rather than the time consuming job of chasing references.  We provide a range of Reference check options – Verbal and email reference checks.

  • Can I check the progress of a candidate?

Yes. You can track the progress of where your candidate file is at.  Simply log into your account and click on the name of the relevant candidate.   Any negative results are always reported directly to you.

  • Can you check a candidate without their knowledge?

NO.  We cannot conduct any checks without first obtaining the permission of the candidate in question. If the candidate is not willing to provide consent, then we contact you.

  • How much does the service cost?

Costs may vary according to the background checks required please contact us to discuss your individual requirements. We have no hidden costs, no setup fees and only charge for what we actually check.

  • I’d like Employrite to perform our background screening checks. How do I get started?

Simply select the “Contact us” icon and complete your contact information, or give us a call and we can make contact, discuss the checks you are interested and have you complete your information to get started. Once received, we set up your account within 24 hours and issue you with your login details for accessing Employrite’s online portal. 

  • How easy is your system to use?

The system is accessible 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world via an Internet connection. Simply login to our secure website and enter your candidate’s basic details (name, email address and contact telephone number), select the services required and we’ll take it from there or contact us.

  • What is the screening process?

You submit the candidate name, email address and contact number.  The online system messages the candidate who is directed to our secure online system.  They complete the information relevant to checks selected.  Once that is completed and we have the necessary support documents, we begin our investigations.  On completion, our final report is delivered together with any accompanying documentation.

  • Can I check the progress of a candidate?

Yes. Simply log into your account and click on the name of the relevant candidate to track their progress, in real time, 24 hours a day. This provides you with a summary of the checks being carried out and the present status. Any negative results are always reported directly to you.

  • How quickly can I expect the final report?

Depending on the level and detail of screening and availability of referees, we aim to return completed reference check files within 3 working days. Some basic identity and credit checks can be completed within 24 hours. In NZ Qualifications checks, Driver and ACC checks 5 working days.  International checks may take a little longer and the turnaround times will vary between countries.  When the account is set up and the checks selected we will advise you of the expected time frames.

Delays will always be communicated to the client along with any negative information and we can provide an interim update.

  • Can you screen candidates from overseas?

Yes. We offer internationally compliant screening solutions and provide advice and guidance on the different regulations and availability in each country.
